IEC61850 Merging Unit SDO-MU

ARTECHE’s SDO-MU is a state of the art Merging Unit that integrates the latest communications and measurement standards.

The merging unit processes the optical signal coming from the passive optical current transformer. The output of the SDO MU are the IEC61850 Sampled Values as per the latest IEC61869-9 (Digital Interface for Instrument Transformers) standard.

SDO MU supports 1PPS and IEEE1588 synchronization for time-stamping the Sampled Values.

Communications: SDO-MU supports both PRP and HSR that allow redundancy in the communication channel.
