smART RC Plus recloser is a three-phase vacuum automatic circuit breaker (ACR) to handle MV overhead feeders in normal and under short circuit conditions. They are specially designed to protect lines and customers during transient faults, isolating faults and restoring the service when the fault has been cleared. It can be installed in radial, ring and meshed MV grids. Since many short-circuit that occur in MV feeders are transient in nature, the use of reclosers greatly improves the continuity of supply and the quality of service (SAIDI/SAIFI/CAIDI).

With references up to 27kV,  the recloser smART RC Plus can be integrated in modern distribution automation and outage management systems (fault location, isolation and service restoration), under different protection schemes, automation logics, communication channels and network protocols, such as DNP or IEC 61850.
